The ETI has identified a number of key focus areas for its Distributed Energy (DE) programme to address. These include Energy from Waste technologies, and specifically the need for fuel flexible power systems capable of operating on a range of wastes (rather than the bespoke, niche solutions presently available which are capable of operating only on limited waste types). This Project will characterise and map the UK waste landscape and identify technology development opportunities for energy from waste, in order to inform the ongoing strategic development of the ETI’s DE programme.
