Abstract Following completion of the main body of work, some opportunities for design optimisation were explored. These were:
  • combining two trains of CCGT into one capture unit,
  • reducing the assumed reboiler duty on the stripper,
  • reducing the specification of the amine thermal recovery unit and
  • reducing compression requirements.
This Technical Note describes the outcome of these in terms of the impact of design, performance and cost.
