Abstract	The Performance Assessment of Wave and Tidal Array Systems (PerAWaT) project, launched in October 2009 with £8m of ETI investment. The project delivered validated, commercial software tools capable of significantly reducing the levels of uncertainty associated with predicting the energy yield of major wave and tidal stream energy arrays. It also produced information that will help reduce commercial risk of future large scale wave and tidal array developments. This report summarises the work undertaken to modify Code Saturne to incorporate a free surface model. It can be read as a standalone document without reference to WG3 WP2 D1 or WG3 WP2 D2 and summarises the theory behind, and work undertaken to develop the free surface model (outlined in D1 and D2) as well as the necessary modifications to the Code Saturne kernel and a series of validation cases.
