Objectives A survey in the broader Parcel and Courier sector will indicate the levels of efficiency in key operational areas within this sector. It will benefit the Best Practice Program by providing useful comparisons for energy efficiency and will help to raise programme awareness within the sector. Sector practitioners will ultimately better understand their key efficiency drivers and appreciate the benchmarks in each main activity within the sector.
Abstract This guide describes how the next-day parcel delivery sector benchmarking survey was conducted, outlines which KPIs were measured in the survey and focuses on the analysis, results and recommendations for operational improvement.
